Well here it is Thursday afternoon and finally I have access to the internet. My lovely wee lap top is not playing the game, and if you are reading this Roxy, be ready for me to throw it at you when I get home. It keeps just searching and not responding, even trying to type up a word document.
But, enough of the complaining - a very quick catch up on what I've been up to. The plane flight of course was long, and cramped and all the other things one would expect from a plane trip, and we stopped off in Kuala Lumpur for three hours. It was here that I discovered that my phone had gone flat so I was unable to take any photos, and also my Kindle had gone flat as well, so nothing to read.
Next it was a three hour flight to Hanoi where we were met by our guide - Nam, a lovely young man who was to look after us until we boarded the train to Hue.
Hanoi is a busy place, traffic, people noise. 4 million people live there and it would seem that everyone of them is on the street at the same time.
Our time in Halong was fantastic, it was so peaceful after the frenetic Hanoi, and last night we had the overnight train trip to Hue. We are at this amazing place, Pilgrimage Village. Luxury with a capital L. we head out at 2.30 for a half day tour of the city and then come back here for dinner.
Because I am on the hotel computer, I am not going to rave on for ages - but at least you will all know that I am still alive and well. And if I manage to get that blasted laptop sorted I will write some more and add it tonight.
Ciao
